DST Saginaw to host April 22 Delta GEMS Banquet
The Delta GEMS Banquet is scheduled to occur this month, Saturday, April 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Trillium Banquet Center, 6415 State Street, Saginaw Township.
“The Delta GEMS program offers young ladies a road map for college and career planning through activities that provide opportunities for self-reflection and individual growth,” said GEMS Committee Chair/Soror Donna Cole.
Tickets are $40 and can be purchased in person Wednesday, April 5, from 6-7 p.m. at Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport Township and on Tuesday, April 11, from 6-7 p.m. at Bigby Coffee on Bay Road in Saginaw Township. Tickets for children ages 5 and under are free. For children ages 6-10, tickets are $20.
This event is open to the public. Business attire is appropriate. Sorors can send checks or money orders via U.S. mail to the Chapter’s P.O. Box.
Through participation in the Delta GEMS Banquet “Delta GEMS participants have the opportunity to define and “discover their individual brilliance,” Cole said.
The local Delta GEMS program is implemented by The Saginaw Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
The deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday, April 12.
